MGP-GF dismiss supporting Cong Govt, challenge to defeat Parrikar in Assembly

Congress in Goa claims they can form the government if Governor invites them. But neither MGP nor Goa Forward is prepared to go with them.

In fact they have thrown up an open challenge to the Congress to move a no confidence motion in July Assembly session and defeat the coalition government.

Congress criticised BJP MPs for condemning their action of staking claim before the Governor on the grounds that it is the single largest party like BJP in Karnataka.

In Karnataka, the BJP lost the plot and chief minister B S Yedyurappa resigned. But here Congress is pointing fingers at chief minister Manohar Parrikar when asked why they are not moving no confidence motion in the Assembly.

According to MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar, they did not support Congress last year because they had no leader elected till last minute.

And even now all 16 MLAs did not go to the Governor, only 13. Goa Forward however has denied any possibility of supporting the Congress government.
