Mahila Cong demands withdrawal of Cortalim road closure decision

The decision to close down the highway from Cortalim to Sharayu toyata junction has garnered lots of criticism.



Now Goa Mahila Congress has lashed out at PWD minister Sudin Dhavlikar and BJP MLA Alina Saldhana for closing the road closure.

Its chief Pratima Coutimhoa has demanded that this decision be scrapped and an alternative arrangement made.

She also attacked the government on the escape of the history sheeter and accused in the Betalbatim rape and extortion case.  

Goa Mahila Congress president pointed out the plight of patients which are coming to GMC from Hospicio through ambulance.

Couthino said even college and school students would be hit by traffic jam.

The tourism industry would also be hit as the road from airport to Cortalim would be completely blocked.   

Speaking on the absconding gang rape accused, Pratima said police force in Goa is going out of hand as home ministry has collapsed in absence of Home Minister Manohar Parrikar.
