Dismiss Parrrikar Govt, invite us, will prove majority: Cong

The Supreme Court has not reversed Karnataka governor’s decision to invite the single largest party.

But they told the new CM to prove his majority by Saturday, not within 15 days.

With this background, Congress in Goa has urged the Goa Governor to immediately dismiss the Manohar Parrikar government and invite them to form the government. This is because they are the single largest party here.

While Karnataka’s political future is still uncertain, the political situation in Goa has become a national news. This is because Goa Governor Mridula Sinha had not invited the Congress, like BJP in Karnataka, to form the government.

On friday hundreds of Congress workers marched to the Raj Bhavan on Friday morning.

A delegation of 13 Congress MLAs and other leaders, led by opposition leader Babu Kavalekar and GPCC President Girish Chodankar met the Governor and submitted a memorandum to her.

Congress says they can prove the majority within seven days. Governor Sinha however has not assured them anything specific.

Subhash Shirodkar, Isidore Fernandes and Jennifer Monseratte were not part of the Congress delegation.

Goa365 does not know what the Governor has told the Congress delegation. But Congress leaders claim that her body language looked as if she is guilty.

They claim that the Governor also spoke about their allegation of her committing a mistake when she invited the BJP and allies to form the government.

When asked whether there was no contradiction in their stands about Karnataka and Goa, the Congress said that they were fighting for their rights in Goa. Listen to their justification.
