BJP using govt funds to promote Sopte : Congress

The party has said the posters used for the ongoing Mandrem Paryatan Mahotsav had Sopte's photo displayed prominently.

Congres spokesperson Sunil Kawthankr said the duty of Goa Toursim Development Corporation is to promote tourism in the state but he said its chairman Sopte has made it Sopte development corporation.

Mandrem Congress aspirants Sachin Parab and Babi Bagkar also addressed the media.

While Sachin alleged that Sopte is silence on the issue of locals being sidelined for recruitment by Drishti for beach cleaning work.

Babi Bagkar said Sopte is not bothered that Mandrem lacks toilets on the beach and proper roads.
