Pitru Paksh is over. Now the jockeying over portfolios and departments has started in earnest.

After a lot of public posturing and alliances between BJP MLAs, Independents and allies, the game is moving to Delhi where ailing chief minister will meet some cabinet ministers on the 12 and 13 of October.

Parrikar will met 6 minister including MGP’s Sudin Dhavalikar, Goa Forward’s Vijai Sardessai. Independent MLA ministers Rohan Kaunte and Govind Gaude.

BJP representatives are likely to be health minister Vishwajit Rane and Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho. Also present will be MP and Ayush Minister Shripad Naik and MP and BJP state chief Vinay Tendulkar.

From the state unit committee a couple of representatives are likely to be present for the meeting.

This meeting comes amidst speculation over the chief minister coming to the state to personally distribute portfolios, his resignation and intense pressure by the Congress on the government in the absence the chief minister’s and amidst signs of his iron grip on the state loosening due to his sickness.
