No new applications accepted, but dept procedures on, says TCP minister after meeting

The TCP minister Babu Kawlekar on Friday said that no final approvals were accepted after the TCP meeting held on Friday. However, departmental procedures were continuing on the applications that had already been received, he said.

The High Court while hearing a petition an change of zone had on Thursday barred the government from accepting any new applications for case to case land conversion under section 16B till final outcome of the petition challenging RP 2021 and 16B.

The TCP minister said that they were looking for ways to help people with small holdings without going against the orders of the court.
