Congress leader Ramakant Khalap has appealed to his traditional arch rival Laxmikant Parsekar to work to defeat Dayanand Sopte, who quit as the Congress MLA and joined the BJP.

The former Mandrem MLA has also claimed that Sopte has lost his credibility and Congress would win the seat once again with a bigger margin than last year.

Ramakant Khalap told media that his defeat as the Congress candidate in the past was mainly due to  division in the party.

But Sopte could defeat BJP candidate Parsekar last year due to unprecedented unity shown by Congress party workers.

Leaders are always ambitious. It’s the Congress workers who showed their strength and bought congress into power, said Khalap.

Khalap also said a new demon Narkasur called demonetization was created by Modi government which is still chocking Indian economy.

He demanded resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also appealed to Indian voters to defeat Modi government for cheating them in the name of demonetization.
