Because they fear that BJP may either dissolve the existing Assembly or keep it under suspended animation with a President’s rule.

But BJP has dismissed this possibility. The ruling party reiterates that the existing coalition government would complete its five-year term.

Congress has almost completed its procedure and was supposed to declare its candidates this week.

But GPCC President Girish Chodankar says they are waiting to declare it as a political strategy.

He still suspects that existing Assembly could be dissolved and Goa may go for fresh election along with Lok Sabha. 

Goa’s BJP President Vinay Tendulkar terms it as Girish Chodankar-ke Haseen Sapne.

But waiting for formal nod from the central election committee on 18^th of March. Next Monday.

He has even hinted that Lok Sabha candidates would be Shripad Naik and Narendra Savoikar.
