Election campaign of Panaji by-election ended on Friday.

But with heated debate on, if there would be new government after 23rd May.

Till the last day. BJP chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant once agains dismissed the possibility.

But Congress claims that BJP has been throughout in a defensive mode.

No matter what the truth is, Panaji election witnessed allegations to prove Babush Monserrate is a criminal and distributing pamphlets defaming Subhash Velignkar.

A bottle thrown on Sidharath Kunkolkar’s car added fuel to the fire.

In this background, it needs to be seen whom the Panaji voter would vote for.

Byelection is taking place in Panaji to fill the vacancy created after Manohar Parrikar’s sad demise.

BJP has also appealed to the voters to elect Sidharth Kuncalienkar in the name of Parrikar.

But the campaign was full of allegations and counter-allegations. Also the incident of throwing a bottle on Sidharth’s car.

And chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant keeps denying the possibility of change in the government. He calls it day dreaming of Congress.

According to GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Panaji witnessed aggressive as well as defensive campaign.

BJP was defensive all the time, countering allegations. And Babush Monserrate claims he was never involved in any violent activity in the last 17 years.

He has a vision for Ponjekars. And the Panaji voter would stand by him.

The last day of campaign also witnessed a pamphlet being distributed defaming Goa Suraksha Manch candidate Subhash Velingkar.

GSM leader Roshan Samant says pamphlets were distributed by inserting it in newspapers.

She suspects either Congerss or BJP is behind it.

Meanwhile, Anil Hoble has raised a question mark over Babush’s claim of giving jobs to the youth of Panaji. He asks why then no job was given to St Cruz youth.

How can people trust a person who advertises that he is a criminal.

Aam Aadmi Party on the other hand has come down heavily on both Congress and the BJP.

While Congress is assuring jobs to Ponjekars, AAP says CM is assuring jobs to the outsiders.
