Nehru's 56th death anniversary observed

The 56th the death anniversary of independent india's first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was observed by Congressmen all over the state on Wednesday .
In Panaji, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat along with other Congressmen paid rich tributes to the former prime minister.
Nehru's portrait was garlanded and the Congressmen offered floral tributes.
In Margao, Congress president Girish Chodankar said Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation for modern India.
He said
some politicians are trying to denigrate his image now.
