South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha said the union government has merely changed the names of schemes started by the then Congress government and presented them as if they are their own. He said he has written to the prime minister to re-start mining in Goa.

The South Goa MP criticised the Navy for trying to impose restrictions on construction of tall buildings within a radius of 20 kilometres of the airport.

Francisco Sardinha said National Manufacturing scheme became Make in india; Indira Awaas Yojana became Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana; Jawaharlal Nehru national urban renewable mission became Atal mission for rejuvenation and urban transformation and Jan Ashudi scheme became Pradhan Mantri Jan Ashudi.

The South Goa MP criticised the Navy for imposing no high-rise buildings in a 20 kilometre radius.

Sardinha said that mining is the backbone of Goan economy and the government is giving false promises to the mining dependants of re-starting mining.
