Restart mining or face it in election: Mining workers

These were the questions raised by Mining dependents who have been agitating to restart mining for the last one year.

Mining workers in Bicholim have also warned that no solution to mining would affect at least 10 Assembly segments in Lok Sabha election.

On Friday the mining dependents from Bicholim and the neighbouring areas of the mining belt completed one year for the agitation to restart mining.

The mines were shut down in March last year after the Supreme Court order.
