Goankar spoke to media after bandh on 26^th February that they had convinced Prime Minister about importance of amending MMDR act during the meeting with PM. He feels that it can be done, specially it was discussed in the cabinet. However, local MP's didn't follow it up. Gaonkar thanked shopkeepers and other establishments for shutting down their business to support their one day bandh held on Tuesday. Gaonkar also refuted the allegation made on the mining dependents that they burnt two vehicles at Honda during the bandh.
