Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is coming to Goa next week to find a solution to the mining impasse that has struck the state.

Goa’s three MPs as well as Goa minister Sudin Dhawalikar met him as well as BJP President Amit Shah and union mines minister Narendra Singh Tomar in Delhi on Tuesday.

The BJP government has been under pressure since the Supreme Court threw out the lease renewals of 88 mines and asked them to stop extraction by March 15.

Now BJP MLAS and a section of the Congress MLAs are under pressure from mining stakeholders as well as the mining lease holders. In this background, Ayush Minister Shripad Naik as well as two other BJP MPs Narendra Savoikar and Vinay Tendulkar met the central leaders along with PWD minister Sudin Dhawalikar. This is what Savoikar told Goa365.
