2nd extension granted, Mining ops to carry till March 15th

The pressure tactics have worked.

On the recommendation of Directorate General of mines safety, mining activity in Goa will continue till 15th March as opposed to the earlier date that was March 13th.

Director of mines has extended the date of extraction till March 15th . 

The transport of ore from stockyards, jetties and processing plant will now be allowed till 7 pm on March 15th.

However, all the activities will come to a halt on March 16th as person the Supreme Court order

Director General of Mines Safety has instructed leaseholders to take suitable safety measures under the law to avoid any untoward incidents once mines are closed
