Ex-Mormugao chairperson counters no-development charges

27 Apr 2019 03:50 PM

Former Chairperson of Mormugao Municipal Council Deepak Naik has said he has done a lot of work during his tenure.

He also said giving stability to the council was no mean achievement. Deepak said he was the only Chairperson who lasted for around 3 years and had resigned voluntarily. He said that he had also brought a lot of funds from the DMA to the MMC.

Deepak was responding to the allegation by the present councilors, including Chairperson Kritesh Gaonkar that there no development in Vasco town.

All these charges and counter-charges started flying after a group of councilors brought a no-confidence motion against chairperson Kritesh Gaonkar and his deputy.
