Cundaim gram sabha heats up over math construction

 Gram sabha members passed a resolution demanding revocation of all the permissions granted to the math. The police had to intervene to restore peace in the meeting.

 Locals said the permissions granted for math was to build farmhouse. The math has also dug bore wells due to which locals are likely to face water shortages for their plantations.

They demanded that Communidade land should be protected and plots should be given to locals.  Sarpanch assured that they would look into matter. Meanwhile, a clash broke out between some locals over the use of abusive language. The gram sabha later began peacefully after police took the person out  from Gram Sabha.
