Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane has proposed to privatize public health sector. But it is being objected to within the bureaucracy as well as by the opposition. According to Goa’s finance secretary Daulat Hawaldar, privatization is not the solution to inefficiency of bureaucracy.

It would be worse for the poor. And Goa Forward leader Vijai Sardesai says Vishwajeet is taking unilateral decisions.

Hawaldar is also ardent lover of literature. He was speaking after releasing a book 'Jagaryache Kunkare' by Dr Narayan Desai. Also present on the occasion were social activist Roland Martins, writer Dr Narayan Desai, goanews.com Editor Sandesh Prabhdesai and Dinesh Manerkar of Sanjana Publications.

Prabhudesai had an open chit-chat with Dr Desai on this occasion. Hawaldar also expressed regret that prime issues confronting the society are not being discussed publicly today.

At the Old Goa Feast, Goa Forward leader Vijai Sardesai spoke to the media and reacted to Vishwajeet calling Shivsena third class.

And also reminded him how students had opposed a private capitation engineering college when Harish Zantye was the education minister. Watch his reaction.
