BMC to build 150 toilets in 12 wards

Bicholim Municipal Council has decided to build 150 toilets in 12 wards.



After successful implementation of Clean Bicholim movement, the local body has initiated steps to make municipality open defecation free.


Bicholim Chairperson Satish Gaonkar said that while inspecting the wards he found out that people were defecating in open due to the absence of toilets.


Thus the municipality has decided to built toilets in 12 wards by spending around 71.12 lakh rupees and make the municipality juridistion a completely free open defecation.
