Siolim-Marna gram sabha too rejects draft CZMP

Siolim-Marna gram sabha too rejected the draft CZMP. People want the plan they had prepared in 2019 to be implemented. They say the draft plan puts more emphasis on port limits. There are going to be public hearings in Margao and Panjim on this issue on Sunday.

Siolim-Marna village panchayat held a special gram sabha on Saturday to discuss the draft coastal zone management plan. Members of the gram sabha said  the plan pains takingly  prepared by the Biodiversity Management Committee had 

Siolim-Marna people are also facing acute shortage of water. The sarpanch said the panchayat is going to convene a special meeting on the 16th of this month to discuss the water problems faced by the locals.
