Sal (Goa) via Maharashtra; no water, no road

Residents of Tillari shifted their village for a dam project.

But in rehabilitated colony in Sal village, they are still facing acute water shortage.

And there is no direct road. You have to travel via Maharashtra.

These facts came to light once again when Congress went there for election campaign.

In order to visit this small area of Sal village in Goa, people have to go through Maharashtra.

The 108 ambulance from Goa can’t go to this village as the ambulance is not allowed to cross Goa's border.

Sick people have to travel till the Maharashtra borer, to be picked up by Goa’s 108 ambulance.

The rehabilitation was done during Congress regime. And North Goa Congress candidate Girish Chodankar had to face the heat of it during election campaign.

He is the new politician now, who has once again promised them to solve their issues.
