Protests, Clashes Mark Shivaji Jayanti; 2 Hospitalised After Fight Breaks Out in Margao

Protests and fights erupted in parts of the state even as it celebrates Shivaji Jayanti. Minister for Social Welfare was attacked with mud by protestors following the allegedly ‘illegal’ inauguration of a Shivaji statue in an open field of Sao Jose de Areal in the afternoon.
