Pernem bridges turning weak, govt should do audit, demands Congress

Congressmen from Pernem has demanded to do safety audit of bridges and culverts in Pernem taluka. They said the bridges and culverts have turned feeble and untoward incident might take place if not given proper attention.

Congress leader Subhash Kerkar said some bridges in various parts of Pernem taluka have turned old. Some bridges damaged due to heavy rains.

The small bridges have developed cracks and some are in precarious position. He also lashed out local MLA and Deputy Chief Minister Babu Azgaonkar for lack of his attention towards these bridge.
