MMC can't waive off fees from school, demands DMA report: Milind

Now Urban Development Minister Milind Naik has said that he has directed the Director of Municipal Administration to probe into the Mormugao Municipal Council's decision to waive off construction fees of a school in the port town.

The Urban Development Minister was speaking at a function to launch the works of sewerage connections in Headland Sada on Friday.

Milind took a stand on the issue. He said that that the people want to know why other schools were not offered a similar waiver by the MMC. 

Urban Development Minister Milind Naik said 95% of Mormugao constituency had sewage connections.

He said that the work on those sewage lines which were not undertaken in few places were now being taken up.

He added that now the department is taking sewage connections to almost every house.
