Locals oppose Marina Project, oppose public pearing

While the everyone is fighting the ongoing pandemic, locals from Sancoale and Cortalim have come out to fight another battle – against the Marina Project. On Saturday, locals came out and demanded that marina project should be scrapped as it is complete violation of ecosystem and the habitat.

On Saturday, some locals came out and raised their voice over the Marina Project. They said that earlier the Chief Minister has said to them if the locals did not want this project then it will not be done, but now the CM has called for a public hearing which has upset the locals.

Locals have thus demanded that this project be scrapped as it will not benefit the locals and will be harmful for the aquatic species and also destruction of the environment.
