Labour Dept fails to produce construction beneficiaries records

 The department sought 6 more weeks to produce the records but the Lokayukta refused to grant more time. He fixed the next hearing for 18th of this month and asked the Labour Secretary to be present.. 

 Goa Forward has filed a case with Goa Lokayukta alleging  that  the one-time monetary relief meant for registered construction   workers in Goa was diverted to BJP officer-bearers. Goa Forward said that the  13 crore rupee package under the Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Assistance scheme was a multi-crore scam.
