Potholes are the flavour of the day in Goa. Social media and mainstream media have taken up the issue with programmes and stories. Now the civic society and opposition is taking cognizance of a programme on Goa 365 and has filed complaints asking for an inquiry into the state of the roads and the expenditure.

Mohandas Lolienkar, a contractor made this allegation during a programme Ranmale on Goa 365. He alleged that roads were in such a bad state because of the commissions asked for by the politicians.

The Congress has also filed a complaint letter to initiate inquiry and take strict action agaisnst those responsible for pathetic road condition of the state.

Erstwhile government ally and Goa Forward head honcho  Vijai Sardesai on Saturday demanded a CBI inquiry into the road repair expenditure being undertaken by the government.

Goa Forward also alleged that road repair assurance by the PWD minister by May 2020 means the Goans will have a ''vibrating potholed Goa for Diwali, Christmas and New Year.

The PWD Minister gives his normal answer. That it will be done and thee is a shortage of materials.
