Former MMC chairperson and Shadow Council for Margao Convener Savio Coutinho on Friday slammed the Margao MLA Digamber Kamat for what he called lopsided development after Colmorod, Ratwado area was cut off from water supply and electricity. This was because a pipeline burst at Navelim Colmorod along the 4-lane road.

Around midnight on 26th May, a pipeline burst at Colmorod near Kiran Steel traders. The supply was shut down on 27th morning. During the work, workers found electricity cables at the location, forcing the department to shutdown the electricity to facilitate the repair work. Savio has demanded an inquiry into the alleged irregularities.
