Delay in subsidies resulted in heavy loss: Poraskade farmers

: The farmers from Poraskade Pernem have complained that they faced huge losses due non-payment of subsidies on time. They have not received their subsidies for last 9 months. Farmers said youths are ready to take up farming instead of running behind government jobs. But they are not getting getting support from the government.

Locals also complain that wages under NREGA scheme were less. This central scheme is being used to do some development works in the fields nd trates are fixed on an all India level. 

Poraskade farmers are trying to cultivate various unique crops in their fields with the help of self-help groups and youths. Their efforts were supported by government's subsidy.
