Congress stages gherao in Bicholim against hefty electricity bills

Congress asked the government to waive off the hefty bills. Congress also alleged that the slab rates have also been wrongly applied.

The Congressmen met Executive Engineer S Fernandes and explained to him the hefty bills received by the consumers and the wrong slabs applied for payment.

Vice president of the Congress Sankalp Amonkar, Youth Congress President Varad Mardolkar, North Goa district President Vijay Bhike, Block President of Sankhli and Mayem Meghashyam Raut and others were present.
