After maggots, plastic ‘rice’found in ration shop supply

First it was maggots. Now allegations have been leveled that rice distributed to the Below Poverty Line People by is mixed with plastic rice. AAP’s Benaulim MLA VenzyViegas has demanded action against the guilty,

alleging that this is government corruption. Civil Supplies Minister Ravi Naikhas promised that officials who did not check the rice quality would be suspended.Let’s see if this promise is fulfilled and action is really taken.

The issue of maggots in the PDS rice has not died down. Now a society in Benaulimfound plastic rice mixed with rice grains in the rice brought on BPL cards. People brought it to the attention of the local MLA who showed the media that these are plastic grains. Take a Look.
