The workers union of Western Indian Shipyard Limited has threatened not to leave the WISL premises until their pending dues are settled.

The workers have been on the strike for over month now, but the authorities continue to turn a blind eye.

Union leader Ajit Singh Rane said that due to the failure of WISL employer and management the WISL Company went into losses.

He said that it was the duty of the management to give the first opportunity to the workers union to operate the yard and the same was mentioned in the rulebooks.

They also alleged that the Mormugao Port trust is misguiding the court in name of environmental reason to force them out of the premises.
