WATER SUPPLY RESUMES IN VILLAGE AFTER 4 DAYS

After 4 days, Panzorconi’s locals breathe a sigh of relief as regular water supply resumed in the village. Residents whose water supply was cut off following an accident that damaged their main pipeline were told that repairs could only be completed if the truck was removed from the river.

Goa 365 has been closely following the situation in Panzorconi and we spoke to residents after water supply was restored today.

Locals complained that when they approached authorities they received no help and it was only after the situation received media attention that repairs were fast tracked. They have also re-iterated the dangers of the narrow road, and have demanded that authorities extend the road so as to avoid similar accidents in the future.
