VASCO LAKE TO BE BEAUTIFIED WITHIN A YEAR: SHIRODKAR

 They assured that the ake would be desilted, de-weeded and cleaned as part of its beautification. WRD minister also promised locals that the lake would be beautified within a year.

The maimolem lake in Vasco has been lying in a sad state as overgrown weeds and garbage can be seen at every corner. WRD minister Subhash Shirodkar and Vasco MLA Krishna DajiSalkar inspected the lake today and promised locals that beautification would be carried out within a year’s time.

Subhash also stressed that discharging sewage water into water bodies is a criminal offense and that people have been flaunting it since authorities haven’t been taking action.

Locals meanwhile have been patiently waiting as even after desilting the lake several times, no improvements were seen.
