Swati alleges multi-lakh scam in Art College; principal denies

She has demanded vigilance inquiry into all her allegations, with documentary evidence.

Art College Principal Mahesh Vengurlekar however has denied all these charges.

Swati Shet Kerkar has been following up some cases in the Goa College of Art by asking for replies to her RTI applications.

Based on this, she has pointed out scams in purchasing library books, building half basket ball ground and buying furnace and potter wheels without following procedures.

She has even questioned how he was appointed principal without having master’s degree.

We asked Principal Mahesh Vengurlekar in this regard.

He looks at it as a personal vendetta to damage his image.

He claims that all procedures are followed and all documents are available.

Principal Vengurlekar warns that he would file defamation case against Swati Shet Kerkar for defaming his image.

Swati however says he has to now face vigilance inquiry and satisfy the committee on this issue.
