Shortages, power outages hit festival preparation in capital

Shortages and high prices were still the norm in the markets even as the rains receded and supplies slowly started trickling in.
That Eid was celebrated on Monday did not help matters. To make matters worse, the market did not have power since Thursday night.
The shortage especially of milk has never happened before say those in the business. And it happened this time because supplies come form out of the state.
The Panaji market was also in darkness for a couple of days.
Market vendors thanked Goa 365 for highlighting the issue as they finally got their power back on Monday.
