Resumption of ore transporting brings back nightmarish traffic jams to Sanvordem

Iron-ore transportation began under heavy police protection in Kale on Wednesday. Trucks were plying ore through most of the day and well into the night, which completely disrupted traffic flow in Sanvordem.

Commuters were caught in traffic for nearly 5 hours, however none were willing to come on record – quite likely because of the politics surrounding the issue. Here’s more from our reporter PraharSanvodekar.
