Proposal put up for KTC bus stand works thorough bank finance: Vasco MLA

Vasco BJP MLA Carlos Almeida on Friday said that Vasco KTC bus stand works would be taken up though bank finance. The corporation has now placed a proposal from a private finance company which is a banking institution. This bank from Calcutta will finance us. I have a verbal approval. Once the finance comes, the work will start immediately, he said.

Speaking to media, Carlos Almeida said that stability of a municipal council was important for  development. A stable council can give development to the city and we have proved it .

You can take the ten years report and we will realise the difference. We have taken up major works of drainage, anti flooding measures, development projects and also on Covid management.  He stressed that it was  important that MLAs and Councillors work together.

Former MMC chairperson Deepak Naik said that the Carlos led panel had done good development.  As the MLA develops his constituency, the wards in the constituency can benefit automatically. The MLA decides on the panel of Councillors and the Legislators will sit together and form a panel and select the candidates for Municipal elections.
