Power cuts: Calangute villagers furious

Local of Calangute gheraoed the Assistant Electric Engineer of Calangute due to frequent power cuts for the past three weeks.
Disgruntled villagers demanded speedy solution or threaten agitation.
Villagers claim due to constant power cuts and fluctuations, their electronic items often get damaged.
While the impact is faced by local traders, they allege the big builders and hoteliers in the area misuse electricity.
Electricity department justifies, says the power shutdowns are happening since Calangute is overloaded and there is a supply deficit.
