Police crack-down on light vehicles using New Zuari Bridge following major accident

Vasco traffic police and the SP Traffic held an extensive drive on the New Zuari Bridge, to nab light vehicles using the bridge. As per orders, light vehicles and 2-wheelers are not allowed to ply over the bridge as work on the right leg of the bridge is still underway.

However these orders have been openly flouted. SP Bossuet Silva who is monitoring the operation informed that the drive was initiated after a home guard was almost knocked down by a four-wheeler. Here’s more from our reporter HiruMahale.
