Petrol prices above 100 Rs in all state capitals

Marking the third consecutive day of fuel price hikes, locals will be paying 103.33 Rs a litre for petrol and 99.44 Rs a litre for diesel. Petrol prices are now comfortably over the 100 Rs mark. Diesel has breached the 100 Rs mark for the first time today, in many states. They are above 100 Rs in all state capitals.

Fuel rates have breached the upper limit of their price range for the first time today, across the country. In Delhi and Mumbai petrol rates are currently 105.49 Rs and 111.43 Rs respectively while diesel stands at 94.22 Rs and 102.15 Rs respectively. Diesel has breached the 100 Rs mark for the first time today, in many states. The variance in prices is due to incidence of local taxes.
