Passengers had to suffer after the ferry service from Durbhat to Rassaim vice-versa was closed during Diwali.

The reason was - less staff because of the festival.

Usually there are two ferries deployed at Rassaim route. One to Adpai and other to Durbhat.

But sudden closure of ferry service to Durbhat forced people to go Adpai and then take long route towards Durbhat.

Toilets have been constructed for ferry staff at Adpai ferry wharf. But they are not well maintained.

Passengers say that these that badly maintained toilets would invite diseases.

Liquor bottles are found lying on the sitting area meant for the people. They have demanded with local panchayat  pay attention to all this.

Also the height of manhole lid is causing problem for four wheelers. The flaps of cars have damaged to manhole lids.

Passengers have demanded with River Navigation Department to reduce their heights.
