Navelim sarpanch denies irregularities in house number allocation

Navelim’s Panchayat has revoked the order to install a mobile tower and to start a garbage treatment plant in the area. The decision came after the locals vehemently opposed both projects. The Sarpanch also refuted allegations of issuing duplicate house numbers.

The panchayat has taken back the agendas of both the tower and garbage plants. People are also alleging that two numbers are being given to houses. Replying to the allegations the panchayat has asked people to come for inspection so as to verify the issue. Listen to the sarpanch on the issue. 

A local alleged 44 houses in jurisdiction have been given duplicate numbers, claiming that she had evidence in the matter. She also made serious allegations against the Sarpanch.

Sarpanch, Bebinda Gonsalves countered these allegations, saying that the numbers were not given during her tenure.
