Locals upset over drainage at Cortalim; threatens to hold protest

Aravale-Cortalim locals are upset. They say that they will come out in protest blocking roads if the, if the drainage and gutter work along the new road developed by DBL in Cortalim, is not ready before monsoons.

Locals say that they will be forced to take this step as their homes could be flooded due to the on going work of the NHAI and road widening.

Local MLA Alina Saldanha said that she supports their cause. Saldanha spoke to Goa 365 after she conducted a joint inspection along with PWD and DBL authorities to take stock of situation and check the drainage works taken up by DBL.
