KTC workers observe a one-day hunger strike in support of their pending demands

The workers and staff employees of Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited on Monday held a one-day protest hunger strike near the office of Labour Commissioner at Shrama Shakti Building in Panaji. The token strike was in support of their pending demands.

The hunger strike was held under the banner of KTC Drivers and Allied Employees Association affiliated to Aituc. They demanded immediate signing of wage  agreement ; payment of pending arrears of 7th Pay Commission ; regulation of all badli drivers and conductor  who have completed 2 years of service; immediate stop to giving  break in service to badli drivers and conductors; reduction in probation period to six months.
