Chorao mundkars threathen to protest if lands are not made in their name

Chorao villagers and kul mundkar’s association on Thursday submitted a memorandum to NorthGoa collector Ajit Roy to transfer the land in the names of locals. There 8 houses of mundkar in Chorao’s 12,000 square meters land. The land is being sold at cost of 2.40 crore rupees.
The developer has started making plots without taking locals into confidence. As a result Chorao villagers are furious. They say that they won’t allow land grabbing activities without following legal procedures. Listen to them.
Chorao’s mundkar and tenant are felling insecure. Encroachment has started in their plantations. They are being converted into plots and sold. Locals and land developers clashed over the issue. Watch the controversy.
