BJP demands action against KA staffers in Shuddhi ritual

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party does not seem to be in agreement with Independent Minister Govind Gaude on the Kala Academy Shuddhikaran incident.

BJP’s state unit president Vinay Tendulkar has demanded action against those staffers who performed this ritual. Anti-superstition activists also want suspension pending inquiry.

Former Chief Minister's Manohar Parrikar's corpse was kept for some time in Kala Academy to pay tributes. Later, the staff of Kala Academy put a hom in the premises and perfomed a purification ceremony.

This has led to outrage across Goa. Priests sprinkled gomutra around the whole of the Kala Academy complex. This angered the social workers.
