Balli locals face acute water shortage

Locals of Subdali-Paddi in Balli village are facing a severe water shortage. Their wells have gone dry. PWD supplies them water in tankers once in every three or four days. The locals say no one is bothered to look into their woes. It is only during election time they get any attention from politicians, they lament.

Balli village in Quepem is home to a section of the scheduled tribe community. Even 48 years after Goa's liberation there is hardly any improvement in their living conditions.
