The brutal gang rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl has sparked outrage and anger across India. In Goa, protests were seen at various places.

Massive protests have been planned today in cities across India, including in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ajmer after massive outrage over the rape cases involving minors in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua and Uttar Pradesh's Unnao.

The body of Asifa Bano, who belonged to a Muslim nomadic tribe, was found in a forest on 17 January near Kathua city of Indian-administered Kashmir.

The story made headlines this week when Hindu right-wing groups protested over the arrest of eight Hindu men.

On Sunday Protests were held in Panaji, Madgaon and Candolim
