Dhavali flyover a death-trap, third accident since launch

The new fly over at Dhavali could possibly become a death trap. There was one more accident on Tuesday. Nobody lost their life, but it proved that the sharp turn on this fly over is the cause of frequent accidents.

This is the third accident from the time it is launched.

People say they had complained to the PWD during the inauguration itself that there were defects in the construction. But it fell on deaf ears.

The newly inaugurated four lane road passing through Dhavali is in the news for what locals call faulty construction. On Tuesday a truck carrying scrap fell on its side while taking the turn.

Locals say that they are worried that a vehicle can or something the vehicle is carrying can hurt people travelling on the service road which runs along the flyover.

Also there are residential flats, a showroom and a hotel close to it.
